Activism vs. Terrorism

baltimore-1507128_1920I was watching the news and saw another plot to make a women’s health clinic explode and was incredibly angered for many reasons.

Not so long ago, someone went to a gay bar and starting shooting at people killing many innocent lives because he didn’t agree with someone else lifestyle.

Even more recently, a mosque in the province of Quebec was attacked by a young white man for no other reason than racism.

In all of these instances the individual felt justified by their beliefs. In all these case, hate and discrimination was the motivation behind the crime. It is a sobering, sad reminder of the consequences faced when prejudice is met with silence.

If you are at the point where you feel you need to hurt people in order to protect your ideals and beliefs, you are no longer an activist, but a terrorist. This is absolutely unacceptable and you are what is wrong with this world.

together-235128_1920Love comes naturally. Hatred is learned.

There is power in numbers. You do not need violence to get your point across.
