Age doesn’t define you

A co-worker sitting in the cubicle behind mind had just turned 30 and was complaining about all the things she could no longer do because of her age. Not only was the items on the list full of prejudice and discriminatory belief based on a person’s age, but she applied these to herself. family-1827369_1920

Never let age define you or anyone tell you that anything (legal) is off limit due to your age group. Yes, it can be hard when everywhere you look someone is either commenting or you keep seeing articles about what you should or shouldn’t do depending on your age. I know that every time I log into a social account I usually get suggested for you posts: “The age when women are too old for long hair and skinny jeans” or something just as ridiculous and clueless.

“Not only does society suffer from racism and sexism but it also suffers from ageism.

Once you reach a certain age you’re not allowed to be adventurous, you’re not allowed to be sexual. I mean, is there a rule? Are you supposed to just die?” – Madonna Ciccone
