There’s a strange assumption that I keeping coming across by family, friends and people who have just met me. Many seem to think I’m missing out on life and must be kind of sad that I can’t eat meat and they cannot be more wrong.
Yes, I don’t like meat. People become vegetarian for numerous reasons. In my particular case never liked meat. As a child, my parents had to force me to eat meat. It wasn’t natural for me. I never enjoyed it. It’s not a phase. It’s been over 20 years. I will never like meat. I’m not missing anything.
Someone once asked me what I would do if I get the craving for steak when I’m pregnant. Guess what? You don’t get cravings for food you don’t like.
In conclusion, I am not missing out on life.
