Shana Grice could have been saved. When the 19-year-old British woman went to the police and told them that her ex-boyfriend was stalking her and she feared he would kill her, they charged her with “having caused wasteful employment of police by making a false report.” She was indeed murdered by her ex-boyfriend.
Yana Savchuk could have been saved. When the 36-year-old Russian woman went to the police and told them that her partner was going to kill her, they cast off her cries for help as ridiculous and acted as if she was wasting their time. One policeman even said that if she were to be killed he would “definitely come to examine the body.” She was indeed murdered by her partner.
