I’m an introvert.
Introverts don’t get ready for a party or a gathering with friends, they gather strength. Removing ourselves for a bit can recharge us in ways we so need. We have to escape from the chaos. We like our space, even if we care a lot about a special someone.
“I withdraw from people and places from time to time. I need space from a world that is filled with millions of mouths that talk too much but never have anything to say.” – Kaitlin Foster
I have noticed that introverts have numerous things in common. Here are some of the things that make this introvert happy.
Love of a good book
Many introverts love reading.
My favourite books are:
“When I was 14 years old, sitting in my room and writing dorky poems was more attractive to me than partying with my peers.” – Evangeline Lilly
An animal friend
I mentioned one evening that I’ve always wanted to have a cat. My husband got on his phone and started to track down a new pet to adopt. I was surprised since he already had a dog and my child had a turtle. I didn’t think he would be too thrilled about adding an additional pet. I have a beautiful black cat. I can’t put into words the joy she brings me. She isn’t the cuddly kind, but her attempt at looking like she independent fails every time she freaks out because she’s not in the same room as me.
I now have a beautiful black cat named Luna. Yes, that’s a geeky reference from Sailor Moon. I can’t put into words the joy she brings me. She isn’t the overly cuddly kind, but her attempt at looking like she independent fails every time she freaks out because she’s not in the same room as me.
A good pair of headphones so I can listen to music during work hours is a must, especially during stressful moments. Music has the ability to change the mood.
What bugs me the most at home is that my headphones keep disappearing.
Passing time in nature is a must for my well-being. I have always felt a strong connection to nature.
Laptop & Netflix
A good laptop with internet connection so I can work on my blog, game and watch Netflix.
I love watching Netflix. I have to patience for television cable that requires you to be at the right place at the right time and stops the story every few minutes for advertisement.
