Be kind to yourself

Today marks World Kindness Day so be kind to yourself.

Self-love and compassion are essential. Sometimes it’s easier to feel compassionate for another than for yourself.


Sometimes, you’ll fall off course and it happens. The next time you’re having a difficult moment, see if you can offer yourself some kindness instead of being your own worst critic. You might be surprised at how much it helps and helps you to feel kinder toward others. Sometimes when we hold ourselves to a standard that is too high, we also look down at others that don’t meet that bottom line.

Forgive yourself. We all mess up at times. We are only human after all. Failure isn’t a bad thing unless you let it get in the way of trying again.

When’s the last time you told yourself that you are good? Or have you ever? Maybe it’s time to start.

Carve out some time for yourself in your busy schedule. Do something that brings you joy. Treat yourself, after all, no one knows how to pamper you better than yourself and we all deserve a mini-vacation if only for a few hours locked in the bathroom in a bubble bath with a glass of wine and your favourite book.

Remember to enjoy your life and have fun!
