This is a short blog, but it’s something I needed to say. There is a lot of bad press surrounding the term “feminist”. These are being spread around to discourage younger women from openly calling themselves “feminists”.

It is amazing how often I come across this type comment: “With that kind of attitude you’ll never get a guy to go out with you. This kind of mentality is hurting women.”
- This statement is based on the sexist idea that the most important thing for women is how men will perceive them;
- It is better to single than being in a relationship with someone who doesn’t respect you;
- I’m married, so … Yes, you can be a feminist and find love. You can be a strong independent woman and still live happily ever after.
