It’s okay to ask for help. As someone with health issues who are used to having it all under control, I struggle with asking people for help. I often feel like asking for help is being a burden. Do you ever feel the same?
I know that it is okay to ask for help. Sometimes we simply cannot do everything on our own. We are only human after all. Sometimes we have to ask for help and that is perfectly okay.
We need to give ourselves permission to ask for help when we need it. It is not a sign of weakness.
Keeping it all on the inside only edges us closer to a real breakdown. As someone who needed to take a leave of absence to get better, I now struggle with making people understand that it can revert to how it was before. I can’t go back to doing it all on my own again. I need more help on all aspects of life. Healing doesn’t mean taking back the unhealthy habits you had prior to getting sick. It means finding a healthier way to get through life.
