Dorothy Height was a tremendous contribution to society, African-Americans and women. She fought to improve the rights, opportunities and circumstances of African-American women. She fought a war against drugs, illiteracy and unemployment.
Feminist and civil rights hero Dorothy Height was honoured with a new postage stamp at the beginning of 2017 in the United States. She has been awarded multiple awards over the years, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom (1994) and the Congressional Gold Medal (2004).
She was a tireless activist that fought for what she believed in until her death. She is a great inspiration to so many of us.
More than ever it is important to remember her work, her words and pick up the fight in her honour.
