You are not alone

There is no feeling more isolating than being in the throes of a panic attack, even when you have an audience. You feel complete, utterly alone, adrift in a nightmarish sea of your mind’s own design.

You, however, are not alone. Though it definitely sometimes feels like it, you are never truly alone. There will always be someone willing to listen, whether that be a family member, a friend, a psychologist or even someone at a call centre.

Things to remember when anxiety isolates you:

  • Even when you feel like you’re alone in the world, there are people who love you and think about you.
  • No one judges you so severely as yourself.
