Everything is temporary. Nothing in this world is eternal. Not the good. Not the bad. So hold on the good in your mind and know that the bad will pass. I encourage you (and myself) to rely on this Buddhist belief to get you through the rough patches of pain and illness.
If my pain levels are high one day or if I’m feeling overwhelmed by the stress of feeling sick all the time, it’s comforting to know that it will pass.
See all the small misfortunes of life as stories to tell, and more important misfortunes as part of your life. It’s important to tell your story because there is likely someone out there struggling with something similar who needs to hear what you have to say.
