It’s a simple truth that introverts are content being alone.
While introverts do desire love and affection, they don’t need a partner in order to be happy. They are quite capable of being happy on their own. Introverts would rather not rely on others to get what we want and that’s very healthy.
Some people see this independence as selfishness. There is an enormous difference between being selfish and valuing yourself. No, we don’t want to be alone forever, but this doesn’t mean we are going to fill our days chasing after a relationship.
I was happily single for 4 years prior to meeting the man who would become my husband. I feel that waiting and refusing to settle helped me find the one who would be my forever partner.
