It’s okay to be a little selfish

You can’t be the best version of you if you’re run down and don’t get a chance to recharge. Self-care is imperative.

Before my multiple chronic illness diagnosis I didn’t really think of the impact that self-care had. Now, the littlest acts of self-care can have the biggest impact on me, both physically and mentally.

Even when you hit a rough patch and your calendar seems like it’s on steroids, don’t give up the time that you have dedicated to yourself. Regardless of what you choose to do with your “me” time, don’t be tempted to give it up when your calendar starts to get full.
