Life constantly teaches us lessons. Making mistakes is just human nature. Sometimes we learn from them and move on in life, but people with anxiety don’t view it the same way. Mistakes are taken very seriously and they will often dwell on their shortcomings far beyond what is healthy and normal.
No matter how much time you tell me that worrying is a waste of time, that it doesn’t change anything, that it only messes with my mind and steals my happiness, I can’t stop it. My anxiety isn’t a choice. Yes, there are things I can do to minimize it, but it will always be there.
This is something I am currently working on within and probably will take me a lifetime to accomplish.
