Vulnerability can help you heal

As much as we would like it to be otherwise, before we can overcome suffering, we need to go through it. Faking it until you make it does not lessen the pain. Neither does suffering in silence. On the contrary, swallowing up and hiding our pain only increases the risk of PTSD.

Inner growth arises from acknowledging our wounds and allowing vulnerability.

In other words, to heal we need to communicate openly, admit fears, and reach out to seek help.

  1. Thanks for sharing this! I liken it to a literal wound. You’ve got to flush out the bad stuff (which can be quite painful), for the medicine to work best. Then healing takes place.

I love hearing from you!
