I’ve recently given a training on online safety basics at work and realize how little people know. When you work in a certain field all your life, you sometimes forget that others haven’t had the same exposure than you. This is why I wanted to share some simple knowledge with you today.
Top 3 online safety basics:
- On Social Media platforms, please do not accept any friend requests from people you don’t know. Some people are not honourable.
- Do not use the name of your spouse, kids or pets as passwords. You are making it way too easy for hackers.
- When receiving an email, always look at the from email. It will tell you if it’s spam or phishing email.
