From being told they are ‘too’ emotional to ‘too’ ambitious, women everywhere constantly face conflicting expectations for how they should look, feel or behave.
This can make it incredibly difficult for women to love who they are, when they are constantly told they aren’t behaving properly, looking properly and that they are dysfunctional.
Self love is not just looking in the mirror and being able to say and being able to see that you are beautiful. It’s not just about taking care of your body, and seeing it’s beauty as it changes.
It’s about liking every aspect of you inside and out. It’s taking a chance on yourself, giving yourself permission to follow your dreams and do what you feel called to do with your life regardless of society’s expectations.
It’s pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone to see what you’re capable of and believing in your self.
Self love is learning who you truly are and drawing boundaries to protect that person.
