Happiness is a vital element common to all human beings. In fact, happiness can turn into a lifetime quest if we aren’t careful. The choices we make, the actions we take, our dreams and our wishes are often aimed at achieving this state. So many people will pass all their lives chasing happiness.
What if we chose happiness?
Changing our perceptions of situations is the most relevant exercise to lower our tensions, to be more at peace. If we decide to focus on ourselves, on the present moment, on here and now, what are we going to see? The sun shining outside, the smile of a stranger towards us, etc.
Meditation is a very good exercise to start. Everyone who has read my blog for a while know that I keep trying and failing when it comes to meditation. It’s not something that comes naturally to everyone. If you struggle to meditate like me, know that there are several guided meditation videos on Youtube will allow at least a good relaxation. There are also multiple applications. My doctor says that if you can manage to meditate 1 minute a day, you are already making a healthy change in your life.
We must stop chasing happiness all our life, because we will die without having experienced it. Just decide to see life differently. We must take the time to look at the beautiful around us, and stop living in the past or in the future.
