April 11th is pet day. Our household is filled with pets. They actually outnumber the number of humans. We have a dog, a turtle, a rat and 3 cats.
Each cat has it’s own personality. My cat is the regal queen. She doesn’t like to be picked up or touched unless she’s the one coming to you first. She keeps the other cats in lines when they get to rambunctious.
My daughter’s cat has to inspect every piece of clothing before she puts them on and every piece of food before she starts eating. He is very protective of her.
My step-daughter’s cat is the trouble maker. He is also the most affectionate. He doesn’t like closed doors and goes into a panic if he knows someone is on the other side of that closed door.
We got the turtle when she was the size of a quarter. Now she is the size of a coffee cup. Pet’s grow up so fast!
The most difficult thing about owning a pet is the final goodbye. It is proven that grieving a pet can be as difficult as grieving a really close loved one. I totally understand as our pet are really close loved ones.
“I’ve always felt that animals are the purest spirits in the world. They don’t fake or hide their feelings, and they are the most loyal creatures on Earth. And somehow we humans think we’re smarter…what a joke.”Pink
