We have every right to speak up and take offence when someone disrespects us, disregards our needs, or minimizes our feelings. We have every right to ditch people who aren’t respectful, who are dismissive and patronizing. Let me assure you that you are not not being oversensitive, rude, or dramatic. It’s about self-respect. So ditch them.
It’s time to identify those around us who are disrespecting us, that are disregarding our needs, or minimizing our feelings. Putting up with being mistreated will continue to deplete us. Let’s walk away from the people who put us down. We deserve better. Let’s ditch anyone taking advantage of us and save our best for the people who deserve it. Let’s also ditch fights that will never be resolved.
“I’m slowly learning that some people are not good for me, no matter how much I love them.” – Dauvoire
This includes stopping pleasing people who will never see your worth. The first rule to finding our self-worth is to ignore what others say about us. There are too many people who will disrespect us, who will disregard our needs, or minimize our feelings. We need to know our own worthiness without basing it on others. If someone crosses you, don’t be afraid to get rid of them.
The more you ditch the people and things that poison your life, the healthier you will be.
“If someone’s absence brings you peace, you didn’t lose anything.” – Unknown
