Pain Management

Dealing with chronic pains / fibromyalgia means having to work to find things to help provide you with some pain relief. Pain management isn’t as clear as we wished it could be. Everyone is different, so not every tips or solutions will be good for you. The key is to find what works for you. It may mean taking regular hot baths, having a glass of wine, using an ice pack on those achy muscles.

Once you found the things that work reserve “me” time and indulge in the things that make you feel better. Some might judge you for doing nothing or for taking to much “me time”. Let’s be real. People will judge you no matter what you do. So don’t make decision based on what others will think. Live your life the way you need and want it.

During the summer, one of my biggest pain management trick is swimming in a cool pool. It’s a great way to get exercise without straining your muscles. It’s also a great way to treat inflammation. I find that taking a warm shower after a cool swim, relaxes the muscle the most.
