You aren’t a burden

You aren’t a burden. Please do not let the idea that you may be a burden to someone stop you for reaching out for support when you need it. The last thing your love ones want is for you to go out of your way to ease their imagined trouble.

Your struggles do not burden those you love. The people who truly love you won’t leave. Those who do, never truly loved you from the start and you are better without them.

Physical and Mental illness can be a particularly heavy struggle. Reach out and share that heaviness. The more people know and share your struggle, the easier the load is.

Failing to reach out for help, can make physical and mental illness more difficult to survive. Feeling like a burden is a dangerous and damaging cycle that feeds into your fear of abandonment.
