Most religions don’t support women

Most religions don’t support women. Christianity has many issues it needs to resolve around patriarchy.

Every denials of education, every refusal of advantages to women may be traced to the dogma of original sin, which first began to spread its baleful influence with the rise of power of the priesthood and the corruption of the early Church.

Lillie Devereux Blake

When women understand that governments and religions are human inventions; that bibles, prayer-books, catechisms, and encyclical letters are all emanations from the brain of man, they will no longer be oppressed by the injunctions that come to them with the divine authority of “thus saith the Lord.

Elizabeth Cady Stanton

Most religions don’t support women. In the bible, there are numerous accounts of God punishing people (not only ‘women’ but men with pregnant wives too, etc) by making them miscarry. In addition, it specifically states that life begins when the infant takes its first breath and that this is when the soul enters the body. So using religion to debate for anti-abortion laws is ridiculous.

“Christians are really trying to convince us that the God who murdered Bathsheba’s newborn, killed all the firstborn sons of Egypt, sent bears to murder little children, commanded Joshua to kill all the children in Jericho, now suddenly cares about ‘unborn babies’.
