In fact, introverts tend to be more loyal to their friends and faithful when in a relationship. They have many qualities that are valued. That doesn’t sound like selfishness to me. Learning to have empathy and respect is essential so that we do not judge our vital and sacred properties too fast.
Introverts aren’t being selfish for taking the necessary time they need to restore their energy. Remember that you do not have to justify yourself. If you need alone time, take it. Each of us is unique and extraordinary. We can therefore find in our existential way a person who does not have the same tastes, needs or the same attitudes towards life.
You have your own ideas of what you need to do to live well and to be fair to yourself and those around you. You do not have to justify yourself to anyone when you do something or stop doing certain things.
You also don’t need to ask forgiveness for taking time for yourself. You are free to feel your own emotions. So if you do not feel guilty for something that others think you did or didn’t do. Do not put on a mask that your body will reproach you for in the long run because you will stop being yourself.
